On County Clare's west coast, Kilkee is a charming seaside town that overlooks a mile-long horseshoe bay with a safe and sandy Blue Flag beach shielded from the Atlantic by the Duggerna Reef, which spans the bay's opening. Bathing and swimming can be enjoyed at any time of the tide in Kilkee, making it the safest Irish beach. Every week during the summer holidays, the Kilkee Surf School offers surf camps at Kilkee and Doughmore beaches for kids aged 9 to 16. Another option is Waterworld. It's no wonder that Waterworld is a popular indoor water park year-round, with a variety of attractions like the "lazy river ride," "61-meter crystal tower slide," and the Thalassotherapy Center, which offers various sea-based therapies, alongside its many indoor water attractions. On the way to George's Head, the 18-hole championship golf course stretches along the cliffs, where there are numerous cliff-side walks that are truly breathtaking.
