Formerly a fishing port, the harbour at Ballyvaughan now used for pleasure craft and sporting activities. The village lies at the edge of the Burren region on the Southern shore of Galway Bay. Located in the centre, the cottages are with walking distance of traditional singing pubs and seafood restaurants. Corcomroe Abbey, The Ailwee Caves, the Portal Dolmen and may other historical landmarks are a short drive. Private parking. Angling, horse riding and golf are also available.
