Perched on top of a verdant hillside in north Skopelos, this villa's incredible position brings with it many perks. The fact that the nearest neighbour is a kilometre away means that there's a deep sense of peace and tranquillity at the address, something you can really appreciate as you wander about the garden full of Mediterranean vegetation. As well as that, the elevation naturally leads to some superb views of the Aegean Sea. However, the home doesn't rest on its laurels and it has enough amenities that it would still be a great getaway even if it was in the most unpromising of surroundings. The large swimming pool is sure to be the first of these to grab your attention, while a stroll about the outdoor space will reveal a choice of terraces plus a stone barbecue for grilling up some smoky flavours. Heading inside, the design is a lot more contemporary than the rather traditional exterior lets on. White walls, floors and ceilings make for a blank canvas against which bold blue accents and other colourful touches really jump out. Although you could very easily never feel the need to leave the villa, there are distractions nearby should you fancy a change of scenery. Agios Ioannis beach is just under ten minutes away in the car, while the hilltop town of Glossa takes just over five minutes to reach and has a small collection of restaurants in case you want a night off cooking.
