From the sea views to the sparkling infinity pool, this villa has plenty to write home about. Built on the plot of a former olive grove, the surrounding area is rich in both history and panoramas. The outside space is certainly the star – how could it not be, with the Ionian practically at your fingertips? – but the minimalist interiors aren't too shabby, either. Families will appreciate the ground-floor layout and having en-suite bathrooms in each room. What's more, this is a prime locale for exploring – Paliolinos Beach is about 800 metres away, while Argostoli is a 10-kilometre drive. Factor in add-on services like wine delivery and private chefs, and it's no wonder it stole our hearts.
