At this charming Kefalonia apartment, you’re mere footsteps from the beach and can take advantage of the bars and restaurants of Karavomylos village. One of the island’s natural wonders, the Melissani Lake Cave, is a five-minute walk away too, where the sunshine illuminates a secluded gave lake until it glows ethereally blue. It’s also just a four-minute drive (or half-hour walk) to the port town of Sami, where the ferry leaves to the mainland and a few other islands.

The apartment is set in an exclusive resort, with access to a shared swimming pool should you tire of days on the beach. The interior feels natural and warm, in slate-grey and ombre hues. Wicker chairs at the dining table, straw mirrors and a palette of wood and stone combine to create a relaxing spot to unwind. If you want to soak up the sun, there’s a private balcony with room for four to dine as well.
