Thanks to its elevated position, the views from this villa near Roupes are simply spectacular – especially at sunset. Built onto a sloping site, it's been designed to make the most of it, with terraces and balconies all gazing across the green landscape and out to sea. Modern and unfussy, it's a great place to explore the north of the island from – or to spend your days just lazing by the private pool.

Inside, neutral tones and comfy furnishings make sure this place is practical for a family or a group of friends, with bedrooms boasting balconies for that private cup of coffee outside each morning. And outside the space is split into three levels – one with a covered dining spot, lawn and barbecue. But our favourite is the pool section, where sun loungers await.

If you're feeling energetic, head into the nearby Psiloritis mountain range for hikes or bike rides, visit the local archaeological attractions or just drive to the beach – there a several to choose from within a twenty-five-minute drive.
