Offering up plenty of space and a gorgeous pool area, this home near Crete's northern shore caught our eye as a base for a family retreat. The home features plenty of natural light, perfect for those slow, relaxing mornings. While some of the decor here steers towards traditional, we loved the sleek white kitchen, and long narrow windows grant panoramic views from various vantage points throughout the home. While everything requires a car to reach comfortably, it's a small price to pay for some relaxing seclusion. You're just a short drive away from the beach (7km), while the nearest eateries are about 4km away.

*While one of the bedrooms isn’t photographed, expect the style and quality to be consistent with the rest of the home.
*Some of the decor here is on the traditional side and might not be to everyone's taste. It feels a little dated in parts.
*If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot for free. You'll need to request them in advance.
*The swimming pool isn't fenced. If you're bringing little ones, they'll need to be supervised at all times.
*Due to this home's location, we recommend hiring a car to get the most out of your stay. There’s free parking for multiple cars on the property.
