Situated on one acre of land, surrounded by olive groves and citrus trees, this beautiful villa promises a tranquil getaway to the unspoilt Cretan countryside. Atop of a hill overlooking the glittering sea, the home optimises the stunning panoramas with its multi-level terraces and private balconies. Wake up to idyllic vistas after a restful night's sleep, take in the views from the comfort of a sun lounger by the sparkling pool, and ensure to round off a blissful day in the alfresco dining area, complete with a barbecue and seating, with a couple of sundowners and a traditional mezze platter to share. Inside, you'll find a host of cool living areas, perfect for escaping the midday heat or unwinding after a fun yet tiring day at the beach. We particularly love the casement windows and balcony doors that flood the communal areas with natural light throughout the day. You'll also find two fully-equipped kitchens and even a home cinema set-up for the ultimate home comforts. On particularly warm afternoons, hop in the car and head to Platanes Beach for sand, sea and surf, just fifteen minutes away. But ensure to return home before twilight to catch the sun setting from your private terrace with a drink in hand. And once ready and raring to dine out, we recommend a trip to Rethymno's old town. Lined with fishing boats and charming tavernas, the harbour makes for the perfect evening out, just a ten-minute taxi from your villa.

About Rethymno
A labyrinthine Old Town, a bustling promenade and an enchanting Venetian port – Rethymno really does have it all. The latter is where you’ll find most of the crowds, but a quick stroll up Paleokastro Hill and you’ll be away from the masses, gazing out at the Cretan Sea from the star-shaped citadel of the Fortezza. The town’s Venetian influence is obvious up here, but you won’t be able to...
