Sitting pretty on the west coastline of Mykonos, this traditionally boxy stone villa is almost as picturesque as the surrounding views of the sparkling Aegean Sea and rolling hillsides. Almost, but not quite. There are plenty of peaceful spots from which to admire this glorious scenery, whether that's gliding leisurely about the swimming pool, enjoying food fresh off the barbecue underneath the verandah or simply sitting on the rooftop terrace with a glass of something ice-cold in hand. It's even possible to admire the panorama through the large windows — some arched, some adorned with charming shutters — that line the walls of the villa's interior. When you finally get around to inspecting the design, you'll see that the bright white walls and furnishings, plus the tiling underfoot, make for an instantly cooling place to retire to at the height of summer. Although the sea feels tantalisingly close, the nearest large beach — Paralia Korfos — takes twenty minutes to reach on foot and there are plenty more to discover on this side of the island. The whitewashed architecture and restaurants of Mykonos Town only take ten minutes to reach in the car, too.
