Norderney 8

We had a lovely time in Norden. The direct location on the dyke and the proximity to the restaurant and bakery were great. It was clean and pleasantly furnished and there was definitely enough space - we were only out and about anyway. Little things prevented us from seeing it perfectly. There were still the remains of the previous residents in the dishwasher and freezer. The shower didn't have a proper seal on the doors, so the water ran through the whole bathroom and behind the washing machine.

The holiday home urgently needs to be renovated and updated in terms of furnishings and equipment. For example, saggy beds, worn-out chairs and broken drinking glasses should have been replaced long ago. The property was not cleaned as expected before handover. For example, there were cobwebs with dead insects in several corners of the room. 2 rooms smelled unpleasantly damp and musty. Only the location met expectations.

The house needs to be renovated. It's run down in many places. The shower wasn't working properly. The walk-through cubicle was leaking and in some places wasn't properly attached. The same goes for the bar for the shower head, which you sometimes hold in your hand when you're showering if you're not careful. Mold on the tiles. Slightly musty smell in the downstairs double bedroom. I'm not sure, but I think the radiator in the single bedroom didn't come on because it was cold.

Poor beds, worn out couch, as well as the kitchen chairs, the dining table is unsightly and will soon fall apart. The furniture throughout the house needs to be replaced and a thorough cleaning carried out. Poor kitchen inventory. The worst apartment we had from you.

The location of the house is just great if you like it quiet. And not far to the beach. BUT some repairs are necessary again. The bathroom has already been very nicely renovated. Overall, highly recommended.
