Photos and reality do not match. I cannot confirm the smell that others complain about. But: The cleanliness was just disgusting. Mattresses were more like instruments of torture. My complaint was reacted to cheekily. We left a day early because of the back pain. Wall brackets broken off, dirt trickling into the bathtub. Mold and crumbling walls. That can be fixed despite it being a monument. NO wardrobe. Chairs sagged. Etc. Not recommended.

If you are looking for absolute peace and quiet, you will find it here. As promised, the house is located directly behind the dike, is lovingly furnished in a partly antique/rustic style and has a beautiful, cozy, slightly secluded garden. I would have liked to know something about the history of the house. Ideal for travelers with dogs, as the dike access, which is open to dogs, is only 200 m away.

Broken Veloux window, fogged-up windows throughout the apartment due to single glazing in summer, small openings in the window meant it was difficult to ventilate, jammed, warped doors, musty smell, leaking toilet cistern, missing tiles in the bathroom, bad mattress, the entire apartment is in urgent need of renovation!

All in all, a very nice holiday apartment with everything you need.

Dirty, musty, covered seating area, stained chairs in the kitchen. Dirty white chairs in the garden as well as the deck chair, the seat cushions were also terribly dirty. The skylight in the bathroom cannot be opened or closed. Bed makes noise with every movement no protection between mattress and varnishes. The weather was nice and we were able to be outside most of the time.

The location is great - right on the dike. The cleanliness is poor. We arrived on Saturday and the accommodation was cleaned after the previous guests left. Cobwebs were everywhere. The floor in the hallway and in the living room was dirty with plaster. The windows are rusted. The apartment always smells musty despite intensive ventilation. The chairs are old, rickety and one has been completely read. The window in the bathroom should be replaced. It leaks when it rains and is 2/3 blind.

It is a beautiful old house, and the interior design was good. Our dog also felt comfortable. The small garden was also good. You can sit well at the small garden table and sometimes eat your meals. The vacuum cleaner should be replaced or cleaned. The compost bin should be changed, the lid is missing. Annoyance by flies.

Cozy apartment with antique character. Our expectations of this accommodation were fully met.

Great old object. Unfortunately, there is a lot to do inside and outside (damp musty smell, rusty windows, curtains with holes, wall paint in the process of dissolution, closets smell musty). Cleaning condition takes getting used to, garden area neglected).

Very nostalgic accommodation with beautiful old furniture. Unfortunately also with many stumbling blocks. A little difficult for the disabled

The house was really quaint and matched the description. Also the location was great. Ideal as a starting point for walks with the dog. We felt good. The separate, wind-protected garden was also nice.

The location of the property is excellent. The house looks a bit damp, you could definitely optimize here. The facility is partly getting a bit old.

Cleanliness left a lot to be desired

The condition of the house is poor. There is a constant smell from the drains and moisture. The mattress had no washable slipcover and was stained. The carpet in the living room is old and smells.

The house is really cute - and old. Just right for us as a couple with a dog. The fact that the house is really old doesn't matter either. It pulls in every corner, but once you get used to the heating, it's fine. Pipes run under the bedroom. You get the impression that you have underfloor heating, which also heats the mattress. Nevertheless we would recommend. The location on the dike is great. Even the small garden has something. The kitchen is new. Nice house with defects.

Great for a trip with a dog! If you like the rustic and down-to-earth, you will have a great time. Everything you need is there. We look forward to a next time.

The accommodation was a small thatched cottage in a great location directly behind the dike. However, the holiday apartment had a few flaws, ranging from wallpaper peeling off, stains on the walls, dirty floors and some very outdated and uncomfortable furnishings. It would be worthwhile to revise the apartment and possibly re-equip it.

Very cute listed property. Very quiet and located directly behind the dyke...just a jump over it and there you can eat the North Sea with and without water! We didn't miss anything in terms of equipment and were thrilled with the lovingly furnished apartment. Relaxed for a week and put your feet up. In the vicinity there are many interesting excursion destinations worth seeing. It would be desirable that the house and property were maintained and preserved with attention to detail!
