The picture-pretty beaches of Les Salins and Les Canoubiers are just one kilometre away and are widely considered to be two of the best on the French Riviera, thanks to white sand and azure water. Surrounded by exquisite scenery as well as traditional taverns, swim, sunbathe and snack until your heart's content.

If you've still got some energy when you get home, head to the communal tennis court for a few friendly matches to work up an appetite for dinner. Speaking of which, you'll have your own barbecue here, perfect for crafting fresh seafood dinners which should be enjoyed alfresco on the terrace. Post-dinner, head up to the balcony to catch a spectacular sunset, then get comfy on the living room sofa in front of the roaring fire with a glass of wine.
