Our favourite time here is in the evening when the dark skies unveil a myriad of sparkling stars. Inside, there’s character aplenty – think beams, terracotta floors and painted exposed stone walls. Unwind on the large sofa or chairs, and snuggle up with the faux fur throws if it gets chilly. There’s plenty of room for entertaining. If you want to keep up your fitness while away, there’s gym equipment too. When you feel like exploring, head to Peyrusse-Grande, or the charming town of Lupiac, a six-minute drive away (you can rent some electric bikes from your host if you prefer to cycle). Nearby Lac de Saint-Jean is a lovely place for a stroll – spot the local wildlife on your hike.
