The very large, lovely garden was reasonably secluded, though there were some escape routes, such as under the garden gate: a small dog could fit under it, and to the right of the gate to a plot of land is an opening. The tiles are everywhere, so they're easy to clean. Peace and quiet and plenty of privacy around the house. There's a business next door; you can hear the occasional noise, but it's not disturbing. Cows graze across the street, so there are a lot of flies. Barneville and Portbail beaches are 4 km away: very beautiful.

We received a very warm welcome. The house is comfortable and stays nice and cool even in high temperatures. All the appliances worked properly. The billiard balls are badly damaged and unplayable, and should be replaced. For shopping in Barneville-Carteret, we highly recommend the Boucherie Du Relais, Boulangerie Renard, and Terre et Mer for the daily portion of fresh fish. The best restaurant in the area is the Ferme des Mielles in Portbail. The beaches are excellent.

Very nice house, 3 nice bedrooms, well equipped kitchen, coffee maker, oven, large refrigerator, attractive bar and billiard room. The house is on a large plot and has a nice outdoor grill. Very quiet location, 4 km to beautiful, empty beaches (end of July/beginning of August). Nearest bakers Portbail or Barneville-Carteret.
