This house in the village of Oupia is a truly unique place to stay during a fabulous trip to the south of France. The building was once a bourgeois wine house, and it has since been renovated to become an opulent holiday home for six guests. The grand exterior gives way to a charming entry hall, with an elegant staircase and tiled floor. This vintage charm continues throughout the house – you'll love eating in the lavish dining room and relaxing with a glass of local Minervois wine in one of the two living rooms. And, there's even a private terrace, ideal for soaking up the sunshine with a good book and a cool drink. From here, you can drive over to Jouarres Lake in just ten minutes and take a refreshing dip in the water. If you're feeling active, the famous Canal du Midi is eight minutes away by car, where you can cycle or walk along the towpath and take in the gorgeous views of the French countrysie. And, culture fans will be in heaven too – the medieval village of Minerve, one of the most beautiful settlements in France, is a twenty-minute drive away.
