Welcome to Le Marais, where you’ll find this apartment in the 4th arrondissement. This is one of the most sought-after neighbourhoods – home to chic boutiques and cosy cafes, and close to Notre-Dame. Whether you’re in Paris for work or play, the location makes this a great option. The living room is part of the original 16th-century building, with high ceilings that make the space feel more open, and the skylights mean there’s plenty of natural light. The kitchen is handy too, especially at breakfast time. And if you prefer not to cook, in the evenings you can take your pick of the city's elegant eateries.

Home truths:
*There's no lift here. You'll need to be able to climb stairs to reach the entrance of the home on the first floor, so it might not be the best option for those with reduced mobility.
*As is common in France, the toilet is separate from one of the bathrooms.
*Air conditioning is only available in the bedrooms here – it can only be used in July and August.
*Parking in Paris can be tricky, so we recommend sticking to easily accessible public transport where possible. The nearest Metro station (Hôtel de Ville) is a six-minute walk away.
