Built around a central courtyard, this one-bedroom apartment in Paris' Latin Quarter is at the heart of the capital's cultural district. There's almost a loft vibe to this home with its spiral staircase leading to a mezzanine double bedroom, and there's lots of natural light coming into the main communal area. You're only a short walk away from the banks of the Seine as well as Notre Dame on the Île de la Cité.

This home is located on the first floor with no lift access
*A third guest can sleep on a double sofa bed in the living room on the entrance level although we think this home is more suited to a couple
*This home is built over two floors with a narrow spiral staircase to reach the mezzanine bedroom above
*The kitchen lacks basic cleaning supplies, so you might want to bring your own
*Your host provides a starter supply of coffee, but you might want to bring your own to top this up
*The view is of the courtyard, so this home lacks a bit of natural light
*We think the drapes, shower curtain, and some of the furniture could be updated
