Set in the happening pedestrian quarters of the 2nd arrondissement, you couldn't dream up a more central location for this circa-1800s bolthole. Not that you'd know it curled up inside this stylish apartment – overlooking an inner courtyard, it's surprisingly quiet. While some of the interiors may feel a little pared-back for some, the characterful exposed stone walls and floor-to-ceiling Juliet balcony doors bring plenty of charm. And we love the sense of space, with a generously proportioned king-sized bedroom – a rarity in a city where space is at a premium.
