Pared-back and practical, this top-floor apartment is a comfortable place to stay. You'll find it in the 19th arrondissement, a stone's throw from the buzzing Canal Saint-Martin. The kitchen is a bit small, but it works well for light meals – and you'll find plenty of eateries nearby, too. There's a sofa bed for two guests, but as the set-up is more like a studio, it does lack a bit of privacy. Keen to venture further afield? Nearby metro stations connect you to the city with ease.

*Rather than being divided into rooms, this apartment has an open floor plan. A half-wall separates the bedroom from the living room. There isn't a door, so it lacks a bit of privacy.
*This apartment is on the 8th floor. The lift in the building only goes to the 7th floor, so you'll have to climb the final flight of stairs on foot.
*Home comforts are lacking a tad here. We think it's best suited to those looking for a base to use when travelling for work or sightseeing.
