Set in a quintessentially Parisian building – think elegant 19th-century Haussmann architecture – this stylish apartment is the picture of sophistication. Nestled in the city’s 1st arrondissement and recently redecorated by a renowned French architect, this home is teeming with Parisian charm, boasting high ceilings, ornate mouldings, and Point de Hongrie flooring that zigzags throughout the property. Every detail here has been chosen with the utmost care, from the neutral-coloured curtains to the plush sofa cushions, and the large gilt mirrors in the living and sleeping areas only add to the sense of space that permeates this luxury property. Sip your morning coffee at the marble effect breakfast bar or nip downstairs to the nearest patisserie and treat yourself to a freshly made croissant. When you’re ready to explore, refer to the guidebook provided by your hosts or simply start walking and see where the day takes you – a westerly stroll along the Seine will bring you to the Louvre, while a wander in the opposite direction will take you right into the heart of Le Marais, Paris’ oldest neighbourhood. However you decide to spend your day, we recommend finishing it off with a long soak in the master bathroom, followed by a cool glass of white wine in front of the ornamental fireplace.
