Promising a prime position in the 9th arrondissement, this apartment isn't far from the Palais Garnier. With the Cadet metro station a two-minute stroll away, it's easy to get around Paris for sightseeing. Though the lack of a lift means climbing the stairs, this second-floor home offers a lovely base for city breaks. Since the only bathroom here is an en-suite, guests three and four will have to intrude now and then. So, it might be better suited to families than friends.

Home truths:
*At full occupancy, two guests will be sleeping on the sofa bed in the living area. *There's no lift here. You'll need to be able to climb stairs to reach the entrance of the home. *Given the home's central spot, expect to hear some street noise throughout your stay.
