Close to cafes, boutiques, and galleries, this is a great pick for living like a proper Parisian. Sights like Notre-Dame and the Louvre are within walking distance, and with a Metro station moments away, seeing more of the city is a breeze. The apartment is packed with period charm (see the time-worn timber beams and parquet flooring). And there are contemporary comforts too, like a sleek kitchen and a bedroom that doubles as an office – handy if you’re here for work. If four of you are staying, two will sleep on the sofa bed, and there’s also no lift. But this home’s character and convenience more than make up for that.

Home truths:
*There's no lift here. You'll need to be able to climb stairs to reach the entrance of the home on the third floor.
*At full occupancy, two guests will sleep on the sofa bed in one of the bedrooms.
*As is common in France, the toilet is separate from the bathroom.
*Parking in Paris can be tricky, so we recommend sticking to easily accessible public transport where possible. Saint-Germain-des-Prés Metro station is a one-minute walk away.
