Nestled halfway between the Bastille and Place de la Nation, this cosy apartment puts you within walking distance of Paris' most historic neighbourhoods. Despite being an attic apartment, there's plenty of light, and the characteristic Parisian rooftop views are worth some of the steps you'll have to climb. We recommend visiting Bastille Market to pick up ingredients for dinner – it's one of the largest fruit and veg markets in Paris – but we wouldn't be surprised if you forego cooking to sample the many restaurants of Le Marais. You're well connected to public transport, too – it's just a 10-minute ride to the Louvre.

*This home is on the fifth floor, and access is via a lift and a short staircase, so it may not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility.
*At full occupancy, two guests will sleep on a sofa bed in the living room. Considering the size of this home, we recommend it for two guests maximum.
*If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot for free on request.
*As is common in France, the toilet is separate from the bathroom.
*There is no air conditioning in this home, so it may get hot in the summer.
