This apartment might be a short walk from the banks of the Seine, but it actually sits just on the edge of Paris in the neighbourhood of Clichy.

This slightly suburban location brings with it a more relaxed pace of life in the locale, as well as offering you a bit more bang for your buck when it comes to homes. This address has a generously sized open-concept living area with large glass doors bringing in plenty of natural light. The furnishings are simple, but stylishly so — the wooden-panelled kitchen is particularly smart.

There are Juliet balconies in each of the bedrooms, but all guests can make the most of the plant-filled terrace with enough seating for morning coffees together. After that, it's time for a little bit of sightseeing. Both Montmartre and Sacré-Cœur can be reached in half an hour on public transport, while the Arc de Triomphe and Eiffel Tower take closer to forty.
