Once a traditional farmhouse, this home has a large open-plan living area housing a wood-burning fireplace. We should mention that the ceiling is on the low side, so this place may not be suitable for taller guests. Two of the four bedrooms open onto a balcony – talking of outdoor space, the main terrace here is great. There’s a covered seating and dining area and the views of the mountains are stunning. Also, the village of Manigod is just a five-minute walk away, so you can pick up some freshly baked croissants from the local boulangerie. For skiing, the slopes of La Clusaz can be reached via the bus stop just outside the chalet or by car in just under ten minutes.
Home truths: *While not all the bathrooms are photographed, expect the style and quality to be consistent with the rest of the home.
*Please note, there are twenty-five steps from the parking area to the first chalet entrance. The chalet has easy access to the main road, via a large tarmac driveway, which is regularly cleared of snow.
*The open-plan living area is on the upper floor along with the large kitchen and two bedrooms. There are two more bedrooms on the lower floor.
*Your host can provide a cot and high chair for free. You'll need to request them. There's also an enclosed children's play area and children's garden toys and table tennis.
*Firewood is provided.
*There's free parking here for three vehicles.
