Fall in love with this traditional French home on the grounds of an enchanting chateau. Whether embarking on a romantic retreat or a memorable family getaway, this is a dreamy base to explore the magical Dordogne region. Start your fairytale with a lazy morning split between the sparkling swimming pool and the shaded dining space – the perfect canvas for a breakfast spread of croissants and fresh fruit. When you're suitably energised, head to the communal tennis court for a friendly game of doubles. There's also a boules court, if you prefer a slower-paced sport. We suggest hiring a car for your stay here so you can make the most of the bucolic surroundings. The quiet hamlet of Excideuil, home to one of the oldest castles in Dordogne, is just an eight-minute drive away. Pass rolling vineyards and cross over the trickling River Loue en route to your picturesque destination.
