Found within the grounds of a Grade-II listed Tudor farmhouse, this cottage's lime walls and timber frame are traditional in style, but you'll find that the interior is nothing but contemporary once you step behind the front door. The wooden floors, white walls and a corner sofa make the living room an effortlessly cool place in which to relax, although the oversized French limestone fireplace adds some rustic charm. The kitchen has an Aga and Belfast sink for the rural fantasy, but is otherwise a modern mix of glossy black surfaces and tiled walls. We're willing to bet that the elegant freestanding bathtub will bear witness to some relaxing soaks, as well. When the weather's on the warmer side, you can sit out on the south-facing patio that overlooks an orchard and perhaps even cook up something tasty on the barbecue. Once the sun has disappeared for the night, there's a fire pit to keep your party warm and toasty. The property sits just on the edge of the Cotswolds Area of Oustanding Natural Beauty, so you don't need us to tell you that there are a bountiful amount of quaint villages and walking routes — including the Cotswolds Way — that sit nearby. The town of Tewkesbury only takes a quarter of an hour to reach in the car, too.
