Orchard Cottage is a lovely ground floor cottage situated near the village of Shaftesbury, Dorset. Hosting one double bedroom, and a bathroom, this property can sleep up to two people. Inside you will also find an open-plan sitting, kitchen and dining area. To the outside is off-road parking, and a shared lawn garden. Resting in a desirable location with much to explore in and around the area, Orchard Cottage is a wonderful retreat in a pretty part of England. Note: Bookings cannot start on a Sunday

All ground floor. One bedroom: 1 x double. Bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. Open-plan sitting, kitchen and dining area.

Visit the ruins of Shaftesbury Abbey, a place of great pilgrimage from the 11th century, or navigate the intricate and ancient lanes. Bath, Salisbury and Sherborne are all under an hour away, or drive through the notable countryside of Blackmoor Vale down to the coast at Poole, Bournemouth and Weymouth.

Explore the fossils and stunning beaches of Dorset’s Jurassic Coast, visit historic Sherborne and Shaftesbury, or enjoy the footpaths, country lanes and thatched-roof pubs Dorset offers.

The cottage was lovely and the setting the garden etc The cottage was clean the rooms cupboards etc but when we moved the toaster it was obvious the worksurface had not been cleaned properly when we moved the toaster we found a heap of crumb sunder it and the inside of the the toaster was clogged with crumbs .. There was hardly any cleaning materials or equipment just one dirty dish cloth and one dirty flannel .There was no broom or mop just a dust pan and brush - The sauce pans were a bit worse for wear and one was dirty .The was the minimum of cutlery and china - just two mugs - 2 large plates 3 small plates - 3 soup bowls bowls - which made preparing food - difficult . no wooden spoon - no hand whisk. t was a great kitchen loads of cupboards - basically the cupboards were 'Bare!' - except for drinking glasses - there were lots of them !
