We stayed in Kings Cottage South for 4 weeks whilst building works were carried out on our home. We could not have asked for more. The Cottage was beautifully decorated and extremely warm and comfortable. Underfloor heating , and normal radiator heating meant we barely used the woodburner but logs were free to take from the log store if required at any point and were regularly being filled by the gardeners who were both very friendly and offering any help if required. They volunteered to block a hole in the hedge for our dog as we were staying a month and also attended to the gravel path and gardens twice a week. The beds were all excellent quality and very comfortable. The kitchen was superbly equipped with the luxury of two dishwashers. The Everhot was a joy to cook on and there was also an integrated oven too plus induction within the Everhot. The cleaners came and did a change over halfway through and cleaned from top to bottom very efficiently and changed all beds. Excellent sized fridge-freezer. Deceptively large. Spacious and well designed bedrooms and bathrooms. Sweet welcome pack of honey and luxury chocolate biscuits and all dishwasher tablets, cloths, bin bags, hand soap, cleaning products and even toilet rolls included plus essentials kitchen items such as oil, salt and pepper. If only all holiday cottages were run properly this way!! Would not hesitate to recommend. Definitely 5 stars. The owner Fiona was really kind and we could not have asked for a more lovely host. Thank you so so much. Suitably named and most definitely fit for a King!!!

Beautiful inside and out. Very comfy bed, which rewarded us with a very sound sleep. The furnishings were of very good quality. Very pretty village and an outstanding area. Great location for exploring the history of a wide area.

Great holiday let.. The facilities in the cottage were exceptional, everything you could possibly need & more! The only minor thing was that the garden was not fully enclosed, the gate was not totally escape free for small dogs!! We got over this by putting a line on the lawn to secure him . Would recommend a holiday here.

This was a superb place, lots of room and perfect for our purposes - a reunion of old friends from university.. The cottage is superb and the kitchen is really well equipped. The dining area is lovely and the bedrooms were all spacious and comfortable. We were particularly grateful that a late request to split up the beds in the main bedroom was complied with at short notice. The village itself and the surrounding area is delightful.,

Really nice house and gardens in a lovely village.. A great kitchen and dining area which works really well for a large group; Aga style and traditional cookers, warm floor, good lighting and thoughtfully stocked with the things I invariably forget to bring (tin foil, cling flim, sugar, salt pepper, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid etc - as well as books games and DVDs in the sitting room - some places ive stayed are very bare. Its a nice area too - not far from a local pub, nice walks through the village and surrounding farmland via bridleways and footpaths and interesting to see the watercress farming too.

It was a real pleasure to re-visit Broadchalke and King’s Cottage South – the perfect place to take time out after a hectic few weeks.. Plenty of over-indulgence but some good walking too – some familiar haunts but also some new territory. We were very impressed with Hambledon Hill Iron Age settlement near Iwerne Minster, and enjoyed joining the locals for their coffee morning in the village hall.
This is a very special hideaway. Thank you for making our stay so comfortable.

Kings Cottage (South) was absolutely perfect for our XMAS break, not only was the location excellent, with all amenities close at hand, the cottage is very well equipped to a very high standard and the space offered by both the very large dining room and separate sitting room allowed those who wanted to read a book or newspaper the space to do so, without a television on in the background.. Would highly recommend this property for parties comprising different generations and it certainly worked for us.

The house was spacious and we were able to walk every day either from the house or within a 10 mile radius.. Broad Chalke was an ideal centre to base ourselves and within walking distance of the pub and village shop.

Kings cottage south is a stunning property in a lovely location.. Really well laid out and finished to a very high end. There were a few things that could be added. Hair dryers in each room, and a cup or something in the bathroom to hold toothpaste.
Finally there was a noice in the master bedroom that woke my parents up each morning and sometimes in the night. We think it was the boiler in the next door property as the flew came out of the roof close to their room.
The local area was very picturesque with a watercress farm at the end of the road. The local pub was within easy access and the food very good. We met a few villagers and we were greeted with a warm welcome.
With all this in mind we would love to return to Kings cottage and Broad Chalke
