Sadly we left a day early as the weather was dreadful.. However, we may have stayed the last day if there had been a DVD in the lounge as was stipulated in the details. We did ask the owner who was going to ask his wife but no response was received. The banister at the very top of the stairs needs repairing as it was coming away from the wall. Although listed as allowing pets we felt the rules of the cottage i.e. no dogs allowed upstairs or on furniture were very restricted. Understanding the need to keep dogs off the furniture, but to prevent them from using the stairs which come down into the lounge was perhaps a touch unrealistic. The garden was not dog friendly with it converging on the owners private garden and access to the front and the road was easily accessible to our dog. Slightly misleading is the address being Broad Chalke whichm is actually 4 miles away.
