There are footpaths up the Old Wilts/Berks Canal, across local farms and through woodland. ideal for avid walkers and explorers. Foxham has a designated dog field, so your canine companions can stretch their legs before making your way to the pub for a refreshing drink. There is a Post Office and village shop in Christian Malford less than two miles away where you can stock up on the essentials, along with another welcoming pub. The market town of Chippenham rests just six miles away and has a fast train service to London and Bristol, and there is a wealth of things to do in the wider area, with the bustling cities of Bristol and Bath hosting an array of attractions. Close by is Bowood House and Gardens, with an adventure playground, making for an idyllic outing for all ages. Avebury and the Marlborough Downs, local museums such as the Wiltshire Museum in Devizes and the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with its picturesque towns, Malmesbury, Tetbury and Cirencester also make for lovely days out while staying in the area.
