Such a lovely, clean, cosy cottage! We were welcomed by the owner on arrival and we knew that they were always available if needed, but they left us to enjoy our holiday in peace. Although we were staying during the week of Storm Dennis, the cottage was always warm and cosy, with an extra radiator and electric fan heater available if necessary. The shower worked well - nice and clean and with ample supplies of hot water. The little kitchen had all we needed and we also could have used a washing machine in the adjoining workshop if we had so wished.
We loved the beams and character of this cottage and felt totally at home and at ease from the start. The bed was very comfortable and clean, with a really snuggly duvet and soft, fluffy pillows.
Outside, there is a good sized back lawn and garden, shared with the other cottage, which I imagine will be a lovely sun trap in the summer and which was perfect for walking our dog first thing in the morning.
As a base for exploring Wiltshire, this was the perfect place to stay and Urchfont itself is absolutely gorgeous - all red brick and thatch, with a village pub and duck pond - idyllic!
We would certainly recommend The Pottery for a relaxing and romantic holiday.
