The cottage was set in the most beautiful location.. The garden is a lovely extra and gets the sun all day. The cottage has everything you need for your stay (kitchen equipment, condiments, tea and coffee, etc) and is very comfortable and exceptionally clean. The basket of treats was welcome on arrival - thank you! Oxenhope has a local coop which is in walking distance. The local pubs are all very friendly. The village of Haworth is within walking distance and is full of history - Haworth Old Hall does excellent food. There are various cycle tracks and routes around the area but beware, it is very hilly! Overall I would recommend Yate cottage to any couple. A wounderful escape to the country! Thanks for sharing your wonderful home.

The views from the cottage out over the open moorland were so beautiful and evocative, and being able to sit in the cosy window seat and look out over them was absolutely lovely.. It also made me feel like Jane Eyre! It was really well decorated and equipped. After a very long walk we were rathery tired and stayed in one evening as there were lots of DVDs to choose from and a CO-OP just down the lane. Super easy to get to Haworth and there were lots of lovely walks to do that we couldn't fit in - I can't wait to come back again! I will defo tell everyone about it too.

Thank you to the Swinbourne’s for a fantastic stay over the Easter weekend.. Gorgeous views, beautiful cottage and a pretty much perfect stay. Lovely hamper from the owners of the cottage and a lovely welcome from them too. Will definitely be recommending to all our friends and family and will be back very soon. Thanks again.

Yate cottage is a lovely cottage. The Swinbournes have thought of everything you might need or want, but also it is so pleasant and cosy I really feel like being at home there. One of the things I love is sitting in the windowsill, cushion in my back with a cup of coffee in the morning, looking out over the garden, some sheep and the hills in the distance. It is well placed, in a small quiet lane in a beautiful area with many walks from your doorstep. And there are many interesting places to visit close by. There is an excellent busservice to Hebden Bridge and Haworth but also with an easy change with good connection to places like East Riddleston Hall, Skipton or Saltaire for instance. So this place has defenitely become my favourite place, after 3 visits, I am hoping to come again next year.

This is an immaculate cottage with every detail thought about to make the stay as comfortable as possible.. Large living/kitchen room with all the useful appliances you could want, quailty furnishing and decor. The same in the bedroom, plenty of storage space too. Smallish shower room with a good shower, plenty of lovely fluffy towels. The outlook form every window was onto garden or countryside, such a lovely spot, very peaceful. Friendly hosts who are on hand if you need them. Highly reccommended.

A very well appointed cottage in spotless condition conveniently situated for a wide range of activities.. We visited Fountains Abbey and Brimham Rocks, RHS Harrogate, Skipton Castle and Bolton Abbey, Hebden Bridge (walk along the canal). A rover ticket on the KWVR Steam railway took us to Haworth (Bronte country) and Keithley (walk up to Cliffe Castle). The cottage has an extensive library of information about Oxenhope and walks around the area. The village has a Coop supermarket and Pharmacy just a few minutes walk from the cottage.

It was my second visit here.. The area around Oxenhope is so nice, and the cottage so pleasant, I am sure if I would go there again, for a third time, I would love it again.

I have used hundreds of self catering properties over 35 years and Yate Cottage is now one of my top 3 places to stay. Aesthetically beautiful with high end decor, this cottage has everything you need. It is in a very quiet location and the welcome pack includes home made cakes and some eggs from the owners own free range chickens.

The cottage was comfortable, cozy and everything was thought of.. The location was perfect, both for walking and visiting interesting places. Even without a car I could go anywhere, because of a splendid busservice. The views from every window, and being able to sit in the garden looking at the sheep were a plus too. The Swinbournes can be proud of what they offer!

This is one of the most comfortable holiday cottages we ever stayed in. The full kitchen is better than our own, and we very much appreciated the welcome basket.
