We (my husband and myself) stayed for a week in Shep Cottage and we had the most wonderful time.
I am very picky, but from the moment we walked into the cottage, I knew we had chosen well. Everywhere was spotless, tastefully furnished and had a real homely feeling.
I cannot fault the facilities, the bed was super comfy and everything was provided for a great stay.
We were blessed with very good weather too, so chose very well...
We enjoyed going to many places. The Singing Ringing Tree being a lovely trip out and also walking along the Pennine Way..
We really cant fault Shep Cottage and will certainly be back..
(Loved the cycle wheel hanger in the front wardrobe by the way, smiley face)

October 2021
We travelled up from Kent and stayed as a family of three for October half term. We booked 'Shep' cottage as we were keen to have a laid back and relaxing break and that is exactly what we got! The cottage is absolutely stunning, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. The cottage has far reaching views across the countryside with a vista that changes with the weather. Shep cottage is very well equipped and has everything you need for a home away from home stay. We loved the cosy but luxurious feel and immediately felt comfortable and at home here. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to make a full meal. The beds are extremely comfortable with thick quilts to keep you cosy on cooler nights. The bathroom is clean with an amazing shower. The owners kept us well informed from booking to our return with helpful and friendly email/text correspondence. The surrounding area has lots of beautiful places to explore. What an absolute gem! If you're considering this I wouldn't hesitate to book and stay here.
