A lovely cottage with everything we needed for a great holiday - very comfortable and well-equipped, with lots of local information about walks and places to visit.. Great views over a beautiful area and also a welcoming basket of sweet treats from the very friendly owners, which was much appreciated. Handy location for Hebden Bridge, with a good bus service along the main road below Luddenden if you want to leave the car at the cottage. Highly recommended all round.

The Cottage is in an amazing location with lovely views across the valley.. The owners were wonderful in their introduction to all its facilities and in leaving some amazing goodies for us and our dog to enjoy. We loved it. Highly recommend.

We booked last minute and were very pleased with the little gem we had found. It was cosy, quirky and welcoming, as were the owners. The basket of goodies was a lovely thought appreciated by all of us including the dogs as there was something in there for them as well. With a comfy bed and a “living flame” fire we would recommend this cottage for a lovely break at any time of year.

Excellent location.. Great for missing the long standing traffic jam into Hebden Bridge. The hosts could not have been more welcoming - a surprise welcome gift as well, much needed after a 210 mile drive.

This isn’t just dog friendly - the owners go out of their way to give your dog a holiday too.. Very well maintained property. Shame the local pub doesn’t serve food in the evening at the weekend.

Stayed for 5 nights over New Year. On arrival we were met by the owners, a lovely couple called Mick and Aidie. They explained how everything worked and presented us with a surprise goodie basket containing treats for both us and our dog. Also a nice touch was the tea and coffee making facilities in our bedroom. Loved the area, nice walks and a pub and local shop within a few minutes walk. Spent two evenings including New Year's Eve in the Lord Nelson, where we and our dog were made very welcome by the friendly land lady and locals. Càught a bus from the village to Halifax where the newly renovated Piece Hall is well worth a visit. Here you'll find specialist little shops to browse around. Within its walls we also found a little gem, G's Cakes, a cosy cafe serving cakes to die for and the owner made our little dog welcome, we would definitely recommend this for a coffee stop. Summing up we had a great break and would certainly recommend the Cottage in the Sky and hope to return in the not too distant future.

Enjoyed a break over New Year in this cosy cottage.. We were welcomed by the friendly owners, who helped us with our luggage and described how everything worked. There even a surprise gift basket full of goodies, for both ourselves and our dog. Nice walks in the area, a friendly local pub a few minutes walk, the Lord Nelson, where we and our dog were made most welcome and spent a very enjoyable New Year's Eve, We used the nearby bus service to Halifax and visited the recently renovated Piece Hall. It has lots of interesting little shops within its walls. Also within its walls, upstairs, we found a little gem, G's Cakes, a cosy cafe where we and our dog were made very welcome and serves cakes to die for!! Overall we had a very enjoyable break and will certainly stay at the Cottage in the Sky again.

Lovely cottage - perfect for me and the dog.. Very comfortable...only thing I'd change would be the sofa which is a bit firm but everything else excellent. The location is amazing...views and walks - we just set off and followed our noses. The local people were so friendly and the cottage owners were great and left a fab welcome hamper. Five stars from me and an appreciative woof from Ellie.

I strongly recommend Cottage in the Sky to everyone who is looking for a cosy, clean, calm and welcoming place to stay for a few days. The landscape is beautiful, the cottage has everything you need. The warm and friendly welcome from the owner makes you feel at home from the very first minute. It is amazing how you keep finding, all over the cottage, small, caring details to make your stay enjoyable, in and out of the cottage. Thank you to the owner for such memorable days in Yorkshire.

The owners were very welcoming, met us there to show us everything. Provided a lovely welcome hamper and were very helpful. I forgot my phone charger when I left and that night Mick (the owner) phoned me to ask my address and put it in the post the very next day! Couldn't do enough for you.

This was most definitely a 5 star cottage not a 4 star. It was enchanting and magical, just like the owners who gave us the most heart warming and caring welcome before leaving us in privacy to enjoy our holiday. They gave us the assurance that they could be contacted by phone at any time should any problems arise. This is by far the best holiday cottage/accommodation that we have ever been fortunate enough to stay in. It surpassed all expectations and we have never experienced such genuine warmth and hospitality ever. A truly wonderful experience. Thank you so much.

The cottage is in the quiet village of Luddenden with good access to the Yorkshire Dales for plenty of walks. The pub, The Lord Nelson, provides a warm welcome, good beer and a great Pie and Pint night for £6.50! The cottage itself is compact but had all that we needed for our weeks stay. Finding somewhere with a bath these days is quite a bonus after a days walking too! The owners provided a warm welcome and the unexpected welcome pack was really appreciated. Great views of the surrounding hills can be had from all the windows too.
