Area
The Rochdale Canal and a charming Victorian train station are located in the charming tiny Pennine town of Hebden Bridge, which is located in the Calderdale region. There are many independently owned businesses there, including art galleries, cafes, bars, taverns, and restaurants. This charming site is also the first "Walkers are Welcome" town in the UK, a programme endorsed by the Ramblers' Association. It is in excellent walking country, with the National Trust-owned Hardcastle Crags and the Pennine Way nearby. Or, you can enjoy breathtaking drives and fantastic cycling right from your front door, as seen on the second stages of the 2014 Tour de France, 2015 Tour de Yorkshire, and 2018 Tour de Yorkshire. Go to Haworth to visit the magnificent Parsonage Museum, which honours the famed Bronte family's residence there. The Worth Valley Railway is a popular attraction in the area, and Halifax is home to the renowned Eureka Museum, which is renowned for its distinctive Piece Hall and Victorian architecture. The Dean Clough complex's beautiful architecture should also be observed; it's only seven miles distant. Both Holmfirth, famous for appearing in Last of the Summer Wine, and Skipton, known as the "Gateway to the Dales," are close by and offer beautiful drives.
