The famed Keighley and Worth Valley train, an actual steam train made famous by the movie The Railway Children, is close by and offers a charming day trip with a regular service to the historic village of Oxenhope. The Bronte Parsonage Museum, East Riddlesden Hall, and the National Railway Museum in York are just a few of the well-known attractions in the area. A short drive will take you to the market town of Skipton, affectionately known as the "Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales," as well as to chic Harrogate, energetic Leeds, and bustling Manchester.
