An annexe of a thatched cottage dating back to the 17th century, this home shares some of the rustic charm of its neighbour, making for a cosy rural escape. Inside, the design is simple and understated, with white walls and smart wooden floors livened up by the odd burst of floral print and a few colourful artworks. The bathroom and kitchenette are both super-sleek, although the latter might be a little limited for those who enjoy cooking complex feasts, yet still perfectly practical for rustling up breakfast and simple meals. Just outside the home, there's a patio garden on which to sit out and enjoy your morning coffee, while at the same time planning the day's adventures. Chichester Harbour AONB starts at the end of the road and offers scenic walking routes, as well as some renowned birdwatching opportunities. Hayling Island Beach and West Wittering Beach are both just a short drive away, if you're looking for a more traditional seaside experience.
