Set in the picture-perfect village of Ilmington, this Grade II listed cottage dates all the way back to the 17th century and is just as charming as its surroundings. Although it has since been renovated, the historic beauty of the space wasn’t compromised and older features like the exposed brickwork and beams are now enhanced by more modern touches. Get comfortable in the welcoming lounge as you kindle a fire in the wood-burning stove and enjoy a cup of coffee with your reading. Tackle lunch together in the generous kitchen, using some of the fresh herbs grown in planters outside, and carry plates out to the sunny patio garden. Enjoy the meal alfresco at the picnic-style dining bench before going for a pint at one of the two pubs located just over a two-minute walk away. When you’re up for a walk, take advantage of the footpaths at the foot of Ilmington Downs and hike up the escarpment to enjoy panoramic views across the Vale of Evesham. On your way back, stop at the community-run cafe for homemade cake to bring back and enjoy on the cosy roof terrace.
