We had a lovely family holiday at this comfortable & clean cottage. It's in the most stunning and quiet location but only a few minutes from the shops, bars, restaurants & gorgeous beaches. There is plenty to do nearby. Highlights include the Stephenson museum (go on a sunday for a steam train ride), Beamish, the Aquarium, Whitley Bay's lighthouse (perfect for seal watching), the castle/priory & the park which has great crazy golf & much more! The nearby restaurants are fantastic. We had great (vegetarian) meals at Ora (Tapas & sangria), The Buddha Lounge (great cocktails), Allard's Lounge & Davanti pizzeria. I would highly recommend the cottage & Tynemouth for anybody wanting a traditional but up-market UK family beach holiday. My only tiny niggle was that there wasn't any information in the cottage about what to do about taking the rubbish out & how to do the recycling but apart from that - perfect!

The Tynemoth Cottage is a very clean and well appointed two bedroom dwelling.. It's fantastic location is querky, interesting and puts you right on the sea front. It's close proximity to the main town belies this quiet retreat. My wife and I enjoyed our seven day holiday here very much. It was the perfect place to stay to utilise the amenities of Tynemouth and it's road and rail network make it ideal as a base for visiting Newcastle and the North East of England. We would absolutely recommend the Tynemouth Cottage for the perfect getaway break.

Fantastic cottage. Superbly presented and equipped to a great standard. Beautiful location, with amazing views and just a few minutes walk from Front Street with its many bars and eateries. We really enjoyed our long weekend here and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Highly recommend.

My family and I stayed here for two weeks over the Christmas and New Year period, we absolutely adored the cottage and would highly recommend it for those visiting Newcastle. Only a short walk from Tynemouth beach and all of the shops/restaurants and bars on Front Street, which came in handy on days when we didn’t want to drive anywhere. The cottage is beautifully presented and is finished to a high standard. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Newcastle!
