Secreted away in the depths of the picturesque Suffolk countryside, this cosy timber-framed barn started out life as a stable block way back in the eighteenth century. It's since been lovingly converted by your hosts into the perfect rural retreat for a small family to disrupt their usual routine and recharge their batteries. Spend time together beneath the soaring vaulted ceiling of the open-plan living and dining space, vegging out on the comfy corner sofa, curled up with a book in one of the armchairs, or tucking into a homecooked meal at the dining table. Look out over the enclosed garden (perfect for your pup), or step through the French doors and out onto the terrace. Beyond the footpaths that crisscross the nearby countryside, you'll need to jump in the car for a day of exploring, but you won't have to travel far. Nearby highlights include the unspoiled nature of Thetford forest and the charm of the Suffolk coast, both within a thirty-to-forty-five minute drive of your home.

Host

This home is managed by Jo

This home is managed directly by its owner who will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Your hosts have spent the last few years converting the farm buildings on their land into holiday homes. With experience welcoming guests, they also work harmoniously on the farm, growing crops such as wheat, barley, potatoes and herbs. Since they live and work on-site, feel rest assured that they will be readily available should you need assistance during your stay.

This home is nominated for the Plum Guide Award.
