Lovely house, well presented, warm and cosy. Uneven floors in some areas owing to its age, but our blind friend coped fine and it added to the overall charm. Bedrooms very nicely furnished, and excellent showers etc with good water pressure - no complaints at all. If they could install an additional bathroom or loo even, on the first floor, it would be absolutely perfect for couples. I may be back, this time with my family.

Flies everywhere! There were hundreds of them in the main bedroom, all sleepy and anll over the bed. The less-than-helpful landlord just told us it was ‘normal’ and ‘wouldn’t bother me’ and just left us a hoover to clean them ip each day. Thankfully we weren’t staying long but when we tried to get some money back the landlord was stubborn and refused, claiming we should expect flies in the bedroom because we’re out in the countryside. Utterly disgraceful.

We arrived to a nicely lit Christmas tree. Having turned the heating up to get warm, we were joined by an infestation of sleepy cluster flies, especially in the main bedroom. They were dropping from the ceiling on to the bed and anywhere near a light. By the time we left the next morning, the only room without live or dead flies was the bathroom. The owner did not respond for 12 hours. Eventually a representative turned up with lavender oil. They were aware of the problem from a recent review but not the extent. The cottage was uninhabitable. Fortunately we were promptly advised and supported by the agents to relocate to much better accommodation.
