After a friendly welcome from the onsite owner we had a great week at The Rindle with family and friends. A very well appointed house with a great social space for us all to gather to cook, eat, play games, relax, watch TV and films. Plenty of parking space and room sit out or kick a ball around. Excellent location within walking distance of the local pub and lake. Lots of great walks around, especially The Roaches - spectacular! Highly recommended.

This house was amazing and made for a great weekend away.. It was clean and in a lovely location. The host popped over to check we were ok on arrival and was super helpful. We would definitely recommend this to all groups of people looking for a large house like this one. We will definitely look to come back should we do something similar in future. Thank you The Rindle!

I’d highly recommend The Rindle if you’re looking for a place to stay with a big group/family. The accommodation is very well appointed, with plenty of bathrooms and a huge, sociable kitchen/dining/lounge. The family who own The Rindle have included some simple, but thoughtful touches, that make it a really easy and lovely place to stay. It’s also in a great location, being a short walk to The Lazy Trout Pub and Tittesworth Reservoir, with a cafe and playground.

Following a stay in Nov 2016 we vowed to return and return we did !. Once again a very warm welcome and this time we also booked the Honeystone as well for our large family party. As ever the accommodation was spotless and a bottle of wine awaited our arrival . Isaac came to check all was well after we had settled in. A most enjoyable week was shared with extended family members in very comfortable and spotlessly clean , fully equipped ,accommodation. Once again we intend to return . Highly recommended .

Booked the Rindle for my husband's 50th birthday. I could not be more pleased with the accommodation. It was spotless & perfect for our needs. Age range of 5yrs-50yrs and each and everyone enjoyed it, even the teenagers! Suzanne the owner was welcoming, friendly and helpful - key collection etc was easy & nothing was too much trouble. Lovely bottle of fizz & a box of chocolates greeted us on our arrival. The photos on the agency website do not do the Rindle justice, it is wonderful. Fully kitted out with anything you need in the kitchen, games & dvds in the living room. We will 100% book this place for another large celebration. Totally exceeded expectations, don't hesitate to book.

It’s surrounded with green lush fields with sheep and cattle grazing, which was perfect for our family get away. Owner of the cottage was extremely helpful and friendly. We all had a great time and an amazing holiday, with lots of wonderful memories made. I will be booking again.

The Rindle is a fantastic house.. We were a party of 13 with 4 teenagers and a 6yr old. There is so much room in the house. The kitchen facilities were fab. House was spotless. Beds were comfy. The owner is a lovely lady who left fresh flowers, wine and chocolates for our arrival. There's plenty to do in the local area. Children had great fun on two days at the local water sports place. We had two days at Alton Towers which was a 30 min drive. The Peak Wildlife Park was about 20 mins drive. Local shops are 4 miles. Great pub within 5 min walking distance. Would definitely go back here!

Overall the accommodation was wonderful.. However i would recommend that some of the bed matresses and dining room chairs and some of the lounge seetees could do with replacing as they are past there best and are a little uncomfortable. Wonderful location.

The location has lovely views, is quiet and set well back from a country lane but not far from Leek, Buxton, Stoke and Macclesfield for groceries and museums. The Silk Museum in Macclesfield is a must. The Peak District scenery is beautiful, we went walking from the house or drove short distances first. Try renting bikes on the Monsal Trail from Hassop station near Bakewell. Rock climbers will love the nearby Roaches. There was space for our toddler grandchildren to play outside and away from the road. Our group was 8 adults and two toddlers and there was plenty of seating at the very long table and in the lounge, and the 4 bathrooms meant no waiting for showers. I highly recommend this beautiful barn conversion.

A most suitable accommodation for any size of party . Ours comprised of 12 people and everything was perfect . The accommodation is extremely well equipped and most comfortable with all the nice touches . There is plentiful heat and ample hot water even when all the showers etc are in use at the same time. On arrival there was a bottle of wine, flowers and chocolates waiting which was a nice welcome. Suzanne ,the owner came and said "hi" and she was most friendly. Nearby there is plenty to do and the local pub ,the lazy trout , is well worth the 5 minute stroll to. We will return here for sure.

Eleven of our family from around the world stayed In this gorgeous barn. We were very lucky with the weather and had a fab week here. The barn is so roomy and well equipped and I liked the fact that the large kitchen flowed into the lounge so that everyone was together. It was very clean and well equipped. The dining table was huge and sat everybody comfortably with room to spare. There was plenty of sofas in the lounge area. There are two large bedrooms on the ground floor and also a wet room. Please be aware there are steps around the barn which if you are wheelchair bound but I managed fine with crutches. We were greeted on arrival and the chocolates and wine were very much appreciated. There is a pub a few minutes walk away and a reservoir with a lovely play park and places to barbecue and picnic. Water sports were on offer while we were there. There are so many places to visit and the scenery is awesome. There are supermarkets ,shops etc a short drive away. We all enjoyed our stay but the highlight for the boys was the friendly rooster that came to visit each evening to be fed and petted lol. We would definitely recommend this barn and the owners were so helpful. Thanks for having us it was a wonderful holiday.

We particularly liked the large open plan kitchen/dining/lounge and the very large dining table. It was a spacious property for the 13 of us. The rural surroundings and views of the Roaches were lovely. Being able to walk to Tittesworth Reservoir and park was a great attraction.

What a lovely place! We were made very welcome by our hosts who offered us all the information we needed on the property itself and in the wider community (for walks / pubs etc) The building itself was fantastic, roomy and cosy at the same time, standard of decoration was excellent and we had a great stay. Would very much recommend and would book again if returning to the area

The Rindle was the perfect place for 12 girlfriends to get together for a fun but relaxing weekend away. The layout of the house was perfect with the main area, kitchen, dining room and lounge all being open plan. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, large oven and fridge freezer, plenty of crockery, cutlery etc. The bedrooms were also great with plenty of bathrooms between us all. The overall décor and cleanliness was superb and it looked exactly as the pictures showed. The area is lovely and we did the short walk around the reservoir which is nearby.

We had a lovely warm welcome with flowers, wine, chocolates and the log fire roaring away. The owner visited us and explained about all we required to know, nothing was to much trouble. December 2013
The owners were warm, friendly and welcoming. The layout is perfect to allow everyone to be in the same place at the same time, which was especially great if you usually spend a lot of your time in the kitchen; but also generally allowed everyone to freely mingle and catch up with one another! Perfect for a group holiday. Beautiful scenery on your doorstep and a playground minutes away for children, young and old! Thoroughly enjoyable.

We had a family get together to celebrate my wife's birthday. Most of us did not know the area, but it is lovely with many interesting walks. The accommodation suited us very well and there was ample of space outside for grandchildren to play. The local pubs we sampled were very good. An excellent weekend. We had perfect weather, and my only doubt was over how we would have coped with poor weather.

August 2013
The property is a barn conversion. There was ample room for sitting and relaxing in the large lounge/dining kitchen. The rooms were spacious and well furnished. The setting is beautiful, Meerbrook is a tiny village close to Tittesworth reservoir which has an excellent playground for children of all ages. The Lazy Trout is the village pub within walking distance of Alderlee Farm where the Rindle is situated. We enjoyed an excellent meal there and were well looked after. The week went very quickly, there is so much to see and do. We recommend the Monsal Trail for cycling or walking.

We rented The Rindle along with the other 2 barns at the same location for my 40th birthday weekend and everyone was thrilled with them. Very high quality accomodation in a fantastic location. The open plan living area was perfect for a big get-together, and all three barns were really well equipped. Can't recommend these barns highly enough - all my friends were asking for the details with a view to returning wth family or friends. The owner was lovely and there's the added bonus of a great pub just a few minutes walk away (The Lazy Trout).

January 2013
The welcome from the owners was very warm. The chocolates, wine and flowers were lovely touches. The entire property was spotless and very well equipped. It was really nice to go to a large property that catered for large groups and was very well thought out. Cooking facilities were excellent - massive cooking pots and the oven/cooker heated up quickly and was easy to cook on for large groups. It was also pleasing to have so many bathrooms with excellent water pressure - whether a stand alone shower or over the bath. And best of all, the open plan living space was superb. Fantastically large dining table and plenty of space in the lounge area for everyone to sit down and relax.

We arrived to a very warm welcome by the owners, together with a box of chocolates and a bottle of wine. It was the perfect barn for our family of ten adults and a 2 year old. Comfortable seating for all and the open plan aspect meant we were all together - whether it was watching tv, cooking, playing games or just snoozing and there was plenty of space for our 'little one' to play. The location was lovely too with the pub just down the road. We would certainly recommend The Rindle and we may even be back again next year. Thank You!

The property was modern but also had 'features' that made the house cosy and homely. The size was great as well as the kitchen, dining and living area all being connected. The location was lovely and the host was really friendly. The house was very clean and organised. I'm sure it would also be very cosy in the winter time with the underfloor heating and real stove fire. Everyone that went had a very good time and we would go back again!

Nice welcoming touches of a bottle of wine and chocalates. Nice rooms clean and to a high standard. Fantastic pub in the village which is only a couple of mins walk. Lots of space and if any problems the owners are on site to help. It would have been nice if the grass in front of the house had of been cut so that the kids could have had a game of cricket or football.

We have been taking an annual cottage holiday with a large group of friends for over 10 years now and this is one of the best cottages we have stayed in. We loved the open plan set up, there was lots of space, it's very well equipped and it was great to have a nice pub within 5 minutes walk. We have used Sykes for the last few years now and have never been disappointed. Thanks for a great weekend.

13 of us stayed in this fantastic barn converstion! Fantastic location very close to Tittesworth Dam for a walk/run. The bedrooms were all roomy and fab and plenty of bathrooms! We also had a lovely walk up to the Roaches and lucky for us the weather was glorious in October! Mrs Reaney was very friendly and showed us round - bottles of wine and the chocolates were a nice welcome touch. Loung/living area was lovely and we made use of the real fire and logs supplied. Only suggestion I would make is to have a signpost on entrance. I would definately recommend this and hopefully will be back one day! Keep up the good work.
