We had a lovely holiday and the cottage met all of our needs..

Rose Cottage is just perfect for a family of two adults and three children.. It is situated in a lovely peaceful village and within easy access of beaches and lots of local attractions. The downstairs offers plenty of space to suit all the family whatever the weather.

The cottage was beautiful and as a bonus we actually met the owners on arrival.. The restrictions due to COVID-19 meant we did not get to experience the cottage in its full glory. The cleanliness was generally good, except we found several items of crockery and cutlery that had not been cleaned properly. This we assumed was past tenants not following the rules regarding cleaning at the end of the holiday or checking the items when emptying the dishwasher .

We absolutely love it at this cottage.. I like that’s it not in a busy area and you can get back for peace and quiet. However not isolated as you can walk to a pub, children’s park or small shop. The position of the property is perfect for exploring three counties of Devon Dorset and Somerset. We will be booking again next year.

Lovely cottage with everything you need for a lovely holiday its like a home from home. Clean and comfy and not too far from plenty of various places to visit, was able to do washing and drying so no piles of dirty washing to take home. Could do with a welcome pack like milk bread coffee sugar or make sure to take with you, other than that everthing was there. Would definatly recommend and will definatly be back

What a wonderful little cottage in a really lovely, relaxing and quiet village - really cosy; a great opportunity to unwind completely, with the option to visit nearby beaches at Lyme Regis, Beer and many others if the weather is kind (which it was to us).. Nice little friendly pub nearby if you don't fancy a drive and a well stocked shop within reasonable walking distance. The cottage had everything we needed - those little extras that you usually miss on the first night before you have had chance to sort yourself out (soap, cleaning materials, dishwasher tablets!, etc) were already there on arrival; no need to go to the shop until next day. Hope to return some day!

The access road to the cottage is extremely narrow, our Auris car had just 12 inches clearance in places.. The cottage is spacious, the keysafe is quite low down to access and was difficult to open in pouring rain. The front door key is tricky to operate sometimes. The cottage is warm and the heating system very responsive. The cottage is ideally placed to tour the area, lots of National Trust properties nearby and Sherborne Abbey is well worth a visit.

Very pleased overall with Rose cottage, an ideal base from which to explore the Dorset coast and area.. The accommodation was clean, tidy and had all the facilities that a family needs. Large t.v was great, the open plan dining/kitchen area and comfortable bedrooms were all very welcome. The only grumbles were the sofas were a little tired and the kettle was unusable due to it being heavily scaled. These minor issues did not mar our stay in an otherwise excellent cottage.

This was our second booking for this cottage,we had a wonderful week the first time so we decided to book for two weeks this time and had an amazing holiday.. There is five of us and we had space for the kids to have their own quiet time in the evening and was really comfortable. We would recommend this cottage as it's a great place and really good for a base to visit lots of fun places.

Rose Cottage is a wonderful home from come holiday cottage, one which we didn't want to leave! Great base for Somerset, Devon & Dorset. Lots of places to visit & things to do, you do need a car mind. Lane very quaint & narrow so don't go in a limo!!! The cottage had everything we needed, linen, towels, washing up bits, loo roll, soap. Well equipped kitchen. It was cosy & clean. With comfortable beds & sofa. Great wee garden too. Also the locals are friendly. Highly recommend.

Rose Cottage is a fab, spacious cottage on the outskirts of Chard.. Not quite as rural as we thought but there are some lovely countryside views from the bedrooms. The cottage is ideally placed for exploring the East Devon and West Dorset coastline. Inside the cottage was clean and comfortable with all facilities that you would expect. I do have to point out that the lane leading to the cottage is VERY narrow, with some sharp corners to turn in your vehicle - surprisingly it is also a 2 way road!! Our DS4 just managed to fit between the cottage wall and the cottage opposite on the lane, however, parking once at the cottage is ample for large cars!

Stayed at Rose Cottage for a week over Christmas 2015 and had a lovely time. The cottage was perfect, well equipped, well designed, very warm, very quiet. We found the space flexible and comfortable, at times there were just 2 of us staying there but we had visitors at various times and even managed to host a family party for 9 people comfortably. Parking is limited but that reflects the local area. Didn't want to leave! Could have easily stayed another week! Would recommend to family and friends.

The cottage was a real home from home with lots of little extra touches not always found in other properties. We had good weather so the garden was a bonus and was used to relax in the evenings. It also served as an excellent base for visiting Somerset, Dorset and Devon.

A very well equipped and comfortable modern cottage. The only drawback not mentioned was the very narrow road leading up to the cottage (a was a good thing that we came in our smaller car)

We had a great holiday in this lovely comfortable house. It was very well equipped, extremely clean and was decorated to a high standard. We found lots of things to do in the local area and went out for a couple of excellent meals at restaurants nearby. The owners were very helpful and sent us a lot of information about the house before we arrived which was great. We were very pleased - thank you!
