The property

Tucked into a sheltered valley of Knighton Farm, yet surrounded by the dramatic scenery and charm of Exmoor, you will find Creenagh's Cottage.

his traditional farmstead has fishing rights on the River Barle and is home to cows, pigs sheep, alpacas, goats, geese and chickens all roaming the working farmland.

A well-kept mile-long track leads up to the retreat, a beautifully refurbished annexe to the owners’ farmhouse, with a quirky set-up and woodburning stove.

There is a lovely lounge overseeing the farmyard, with two steps up to a characterful dining area, whilst the delightful kitchen looks out over the heart-warming garden.

From morning through to night time, you can appreciate this home-away-from-home, somewhere unique for you and your loved one to relax in style.

Continue through the property where you will also discover a shower room located on the ground floor.

The upper level is your own little space to enjoy in the evening, a king-size bedroom with lovely features, including a dressing table, sloping ceiling, and exposed beams to the side, encompassing the whole first floor.

Outside is a sheltered patio and large enclosed garden ideal for dog owners, or just some peace and quiet amidst the peaceful surround.

Within moments you can be in the midst of the wonderful wide open space above the farm taking in the panoramic views.

For outings further afield why not try the market town of Dulverton?

the medieval town of Dunster with its castle, and Porlock where Exmoor meets the sea and where you will have to experience the famous Porlock Hill.

WITHYPOOL

Exford 3.3 miles; Minehead 14.4 miles.

The village of Withypool has a remote, upland character and is surrounded by open moorland. Most of the village lies on the north side of the river and follows the narrow roads along the valley contours. The traditional buildings are wrapped in lime washed rendered stonewalls with slate roofs, adding to the sense of character. Within Withypool, there are the local general stores/Post Office, and tearooms. There are excellent short and long walks in and around this destination, including the Two Moors Way that passes through the village. One of the most popular walks is a four mile riverside stroll to Tarr Steps, with wonderful scenery. Close by, the picturesque village of Exford is situated in the heart of the Exmoor National Park. In a charming setting by the River Exe, Exford boasts a village green, tea rooms, a shop, Post Office and two traditional inns serving excellent food and drinks.
