Area The town of Burnham-on-Sea is ideally situated for exploring the beautiful Somerset countryside and its well-known attractions because of its proximity to the M5. A 36-hole championship golf course and seven miles of unspoilt sandy beaches are just a few of the activities available to visitors in this quaint town. In the immediate vicinity are the Cheddar Caves and Gorge as well as the historic city of Wells, England's smallest, and Glastonbury, where King Arthur is said to have been born. The Avalon Marshes, one of the largest lowland wetlands in the UK, are also nearby. Massive starling murmurations and enormous wildfowl flocks are the main winter attractions. This is a must-see destination because of the stunning scenery and fascinating human history. The Steart Marshes, managed by the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, are also nearby and appealing to nature lovers (WWT). As well as its sandy beaches and donkey rides and water sports, Weston-super-Mare is home to the Playhouse Theatre as well the Winter Gardens and numerous restaurants and shops. You can also visit Exmoor National Park, which is known for its wild ponies and stunning coastal scenery with cliffs, coves, and bays.
