With stunning views of Wimbleball Lake, this wooden lodge can be the perfect setting for your rustic retreat – think the Sound of Music, but in Exmoor. The quiet location and lake view make alfresco dining on the terrace a real treat, and you'll want to try some star gazing come nightfall. While the bedrooms are a little small, the open-plan living area has everything needed for extended stays, and the electric fire is a nice touch on those colder nights. Nearby, you can sample a range of water sports at the lake activities centre, you're a thirty-minute drive from the beach at Minehead, and there's a pub serving up meals just two miles away.
