The village is home to a number of shops and local pubs. Bangor-on-Dee is famous for its renowned racecourse which hosts many exciting jump racing fixtures in a year on the banks of the River Dee. Nearby Overton-on-Dee is a charming village which boasts a fine collection of 18th century buildings, a small selection of local shops, a great restaurant and a traditional pub.
