The town hascharming and historic houses, including a round house, thought to be a recognisable rest house for pilgrims travelling between Wigmore and Shrewsbury Abbeys and the fascinating 'Museum of Lost Content'. Just two miles away in the village of Wistanstow is the Plough Inn, a good local wood brewery. Church Stretton is close by and nestles between the Long Mynd and Caradoc Hills, renowned for their scenic walks and excellent golf course.

Our holiday with our children and grandchildren was wonderful.. The lovely welcome with the large cake we enjoyed eating all week and bottle of wine was really appreciated. The living room opening out onto a really lovely garden was great, especially for the family and grandchildren to enjoy. The facilities in the kitchen, meant big family meals could be cooked. Would really recommend this cottage .

We enjoyed an annual family get-together in beautiful Shropshire.. The house was luxurious and we were made very welcome. The dining room, sitting room, kitchen, bedrooms, garden and hot tubs were all great. There was plenty of room for all eleven of us. There is little to improve - perhaps a few larger cooking pots and more cutlery. The games room had obviously been badly treated by previous guests but was being renovated as we left. All in all the owners should be proud of this excellent holiday home. Thank you.
