Quiet location with views onto the nearby hills. Very comfortable accommodation, clearly planned to fit in and incliude all that a couple would need for a week at any time of the year. Spacious rooms with lots of natural light with quality furnishings and fistures and fittings. Excellent power shower and very efficient oven. Two pubs in the village serving very good meals. Walks from the door step up to Longmynd; the Ragleth; the hamlet of Minton etc. Very near Church Stretton for the shops. Wendy made us most welcome and provided us with s nice tea time treat on arrival. We have booked another week for next year.

Fantastic. Beautiful location in Little Stretton. Off road parking for one car. The pictures don’t do the scale of the accommodation justice; in addition to what is photographed there is a downstairs room with a small sofa, perfect for putting luggage etc out of the way. There is also plenty of storage in the kitchen with a laser cupboard. You don’t have to worry about using the spiral staircase if you prefer not to as there is another outdoor staircase leading to your private enclosed courtyard garden with an entrance door to the bedroom (and outdoor table and chairs). Perfect place to sit and watch the sheep on the hill. Wendy greeted us warmly (and socially distanced due to the pandemic!) and to our amazement had provided fresh scones with clotted cream, strawberries and jam. That I’m addition to a fresh loaf of cornbread, milk and plenty of tea/coffee. The kitchen was well equipped and had basics including salt/pepper, sugar and oil. Again in the kitchen I couldn’t believe the space- the vaulted ceiling with exposed wooden beams is lovely. Great view of the hill too! Bedroom with en suite: large shower with good water pressure, comfy bed with storage under, large dressing table and huge wardrobe. Heating worked a treat and plenty of hot water. Haven’t tried the wood burner but it adds even more character to the lodge. Would recommend to anyone and will hopefully find dates to come back again!

This was our first visit to Shropshire and Ragleth Lodge was an excellent base to explore the area.. Wendy and Chris made us very welcome and their annex is a very comfortable, quiet and secluded place to stay The walking in this area is excellent, varied and with stunning views; some steep climbs but not too high. Four days we walked from the Lodge. The bus service up and down the valley is good - reliable and with friendly and helpful drivers. Church Stretton had a good butcher, baker, deli, small supermarket and a market on Thursdays. The Ragleth Arms in Little Stretton serves good food and beer and the Monday evening special was packed. All in all an excellent holiday - made by amazing weather

What can we say it was totally perfect in every way. Perfect location, lovely home from home accommodation with absolutely cracking hosts Wendy and Chris. Ideal base for exploring the local hills and plenty of space for our dog. The welcome pack was great with scones to die for. We cannot praise this place enough and can’t wait to return. Also had 2 good pubs with food very close by.
